Deacon's Ministry

The purpose of the Deacon's Ministry is

• To serve the Table of the Lord (Communion)
• To serve the Table of the Church (people in time of need)
• To serve the Table of the Pastor (assist in his efforts)

Deacons:

Ricky Gibson, James Asbury, Elmer D. Short, Amos Houk, Chris Houk, Jeff Caudel, Roger Davis, Philip West, Randy Turner, Sherman Vance, and Sherman Ballou.

Meeting times: Last Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Pastor's Study at church.

Responsibilities:

• Sunday morning offertory prayer
• Meet monthly to discuss ministry needs and church vision
• Weekly visit shut-ins, hospitals, nursing homes
• Outreach to those who are un-churched
• Protect the unity of the church
• Act as a "sound board" for the concerns and problems of the membership
• Serve the Lord's supper every quarter
• Lead the church during the Pastor's absence
• Assist the pastor in various ministries

Women's Ministry Purpose Statement

The purpose of the Women's Ministry of Horse Cave Baptist Church is ultimately to honor and glorify God in all our activities. We seek to do this in our outreach activities in the community, particularly to women, in an effort to find people in need of Jesus, accepting them into fellowship with gentle love in the name of Jesus. We are involved in numerous outreaches in an effort to involve many of our memebers in a ministry that is suited to their interest and abilities, and invite all our women to become involved. We extend an invitation to all women to join in our Bible studies as we grow in knowledge of God's Word so that we may fulfill God's purposes in each of us.

Music Ministry's Purpose Statement

The purpose of the Music Ministry is to lead people in heartfelt worship and praise of Jesus Christ. With the Holy Spirit's guidance, our goal is to lead others into the presence of God.

The Music Ministry at Horse Cave Baptist Church believes that we are more than just singers or instrumentalists. We are worship leaders who have the exciting opportunity and responsibility of leading others in worship
